Lynn Hershman Leeson was born in 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio. She earned a BS from Case Western Reserve University and an MA from San Francisco State University. Her work is held in numerous collections, including the MoMA, SFMOMA, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Tate Modern, and the Walker Art Center.
