Zhee Singer's origin as a painter begins in New York in the mid-sixties where he studied drawing, painting and illustration at the Art Students League for four years. He later obtained a BFA circa 1971 and a MFA in 1973 with high honors from San Francisco Art Institute. Singer's work has been exhibited widely in many galleries from California to New York, including the Oakland Museum and Smith Anderson Gallery (San Rafael, CA). His current mixed media works on paper explore printmaking, drawing and painting.
