In conjunction with the exhibition Desirée Holman: Sophont in Action, Holman presents an exclusive, site-specific performance featuring residents of the local community. This special event offers firsthand participation in an outdoor fantasyscape created by the artist that will unfold throughout di Rosa’s lush and stunning grounds. The elaborate, large-scale performance builds on Holman’s current body of work exploring the overlapping terrain of New Age mysticism, science fiction, and technology. Viewers will be guided by foot and open-air bus to encounter characters performing choreography inspired by science fiction films, spiritual dance forms, yoga asanas, and human formations.
