This month, we’re hosting three exciting local acts:
No Nostalgia, a queer indie/emo music band from three best friends who grew up in Cloverdale, California together and one piece of videogame hardware from 1989. After playing in various projects together for ten years, No Nostalgia has been the group’s most focused project to date. They are in the midst of recording their first full-length and released a demo in 2016.
Magnanimous is a solo keyboardist/singer from Napa. He takes inspiration from David Bowie, Rush, and MGMT. He’s played all over the Bay Area at book stores, movie theaters, art venues, and everywhere in-between. His music sounds like the soundtrack of a Unicorns dream.
Joe Shoemaker is an electronic musician from Lawrence Kansas. He now resides in Napa, where he works as a music therapist and produces electronic music that focuses on playful textural soundscapes. His music blends natural and synthesized sounds together to create harmonious textures that satisfy the senses. Follow him on Instagram to see his latest creations.
