Volunteers at di Rosa lead public tours, assist at our admissions desk, provide occasional office support, and help out at programs and events. Volunteers enjoy many benefits, including experiences that can only happen behind the scenes at di Rosa. We are currently seeking the following:

Gallery Attendant – di Rosa Napa

Do you enjoy contemporary art, meeting new people, and spending time in a beautiful natural setting? Volunteer Gallery Attendants play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and informative environment for every visitor.

Volunteer Shifts: Thursday–Sunday, 11:00 AM–1:00 PM or 1:00 PM–2:30 PM

Responsibilities Include:

  • Share information about current exhibitions, the collection, and upcoming programs
  • Ensure visitor safety and protect artwork by monitoring behavior in the galleries
  • Assist with directions, wayfinding, and museum policies (e.g., photography, food/drink)
  • Help manage visitor flow during peak times

Qualifications:

  • Friendly, professional demeanor with a passion for art
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to stand or walk through galleries during assigned shifts
  • Minimum of 2 shifts per month; at least 16 years old

 

Docent / Tour Guide – di Rosa Napa

Volunteer Docents are the storytellers of di Rosa—leading visitors through our galleries, outdoor sculpture collection, and grounds with insight, enthusiasm, and a spirit of discovery.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead public tours of current exhibitions and the permanent collection
  • Engage visitors in conversation about art, artists, and regional history
  • Guide groups through both indoor and outdoor spaces
  • Stay up-to-date through ongoing training sessions

Qualifications:

  • Strong public speaking skills and comfort with group facilitation
  • Interest in contemporary and Northern California art
  • Ability to walk/stand for 90-minute tours, including uneven outdoor terrain
  • Minimum of 2 tours per month; must be 18 years or older
  • Willingness to commit to a two-year term after completing training

 

Pop-Up Gallery Host – di Rosa Downtown 

Help us bring contemporary art to the heart of the community! Pop-Up Gallery Hosts greet visitors, answer questions, and assist with basic operations at our satellite location.
