Over 100 active volunteers help keep di Rosa running, and we rely on them in all areas of our operation. Volunteers lead public tours, staff our admissions desk, provide occasional office support, and help out at programs and events. Volunteers enjoy many benefits, including experiences that can only happen behind the scenes at di Rosa. Volunteer opportunities are ongoing. The greatest needs are currently in two areas:

Lead tours of di Rosa’s galleries and grounds. Docents lead an average of two or more tours each month, representing di Rosa’s collection to thousands of visitors annually. Those interested in volunteering should be enthusiastic, articulate, and available to fulfill a tour schedule commitment.

Gatehouse Gallery Host
Be the first to welcome visitors to di Rosa. Gatehouse Gallery Hosts greet visitors, handle admissions, and assist with retail shop sales. Volunteers work at the admissions desk an average of four to eight hours each month. Those interested in volunteering should be enthusiastic, organized, and available to fulfill the monthly commitment.

Apply now to join the next training session! Docent training is held annually for 14 weeks from January to April. Gatehouse Gallery Host training is held biannually for four weeks in the spring and fall, usually in May and September. All training sessions take place at di Rosa and on Saturdays.
