Join us for a stimulating, fun family day to create, share, and draw stories for each other. Write and illuminate your own tale using an ancient and unusual Asian-style orihon (accordion book) format and multi-media materials, such as oil pastels, fine line pens, colored pencils, magazine cutouts, ink stamps, watercolors, and collage. You choose the format of the storybook—tell a story, describe a journey, and/or illustrate a special event.
The workshop is held in conjunction of our current exhibition, Based on a True Story, which illuminates the hidden stories and relationships found in Northern California art history over the last six decades.
